An invisible Dhaka store, now cited by AI and compounding revenue.

Authentic Makeup Store BD sells only original skincare and makeup, on one promise: say no to replica. In four months it went from almost unfindable to ranking across Bangladesh, getting cited by AI assistants, and nearly doubling revenue. Every figure here is backed by the dashboard it came from.

Executive summary

In four months, Authentic Makeup Store BD went from a store almost no one could find to one that ranks across Bangladesh, gets cited by AI assistants, and nearly doubled its revenue.

Revenue rose 85.5%, from $18,261.84 to $33,877.03. Organic search did the heaviest lifting, and every traffic and engagement metric moved with it. The base built inside the window did not fade when the program ended; it kept compounding.

The part most stores miss is the second channel. The same authority work that lifted rankings also made the store visible to AI. Microsoft Copilot cited it 361 times, and revenue from AI assistants grew from $6 to $391. That is where discovery is heading, and this store is already there.

The operating thesis

Good SEO is now 90% AEO and GEO.

Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization are no longer extras bolted onto search. Ranking in Google and getting cited by Copilot, ChatGPT and Gemini come from the same foundation: clean technical health, answer-first content, and authority a machine can trust. Build for one and you earn the other. This case study is that thesis, measured on a real store.

01 · The starting point

Real demand, sitting on a shaky foundation.

The store already had the harder half solved. Real demand existed for authentic K-beauty and dermatologist-recommended brands in Bangladesh, and the say-no-to-replica promise gave it something its Daraz and Facebook-page rivals could not undercut on price.

What it lacked was discoverability. In the six months before this work began, the site drew 414 organic clicks against 4,520 impressions, the footprint of a few branded searches, not a store competing for category demand. The job was to turn an unarguable promise into visibility, and visibility into revenue.

02 · The engagement

One foundation, three moving parts.

The work ran on three fronts at once, each feeding the others. The compounding came from running them together, not from any single lever.

A · Technical

A base that can be found

Crawlable, indexable, fast, and legible to a search engine, so pages could rank at all and the store read as a real retailer rather than another reseller page.

B · Content · AEO

Answer-first pages

Category, product, and guide content built around what Bangladeshi shoppers actually ask, and structured so both Google and AI engines can lift a clean answer.

C · Authority · GEO

Signals a machine can cite

Entity and authority work that makes the store a source Google ranks and Copilot cites. This is the groundwork behind both the rankings and the AI-citation numbers later in this report.

Every metric in this report is an actual measurement from Search Console, Analytics 4, Bing Webmaster Tools, or store revenue. No modelled or projected figures are used.

03 · Results: revenue

Revenue nearly doubled in the window.

Across the four-month window, revenue climbed from $18,261.84 to $33,877.03, a gain of 85.5%. The comparison is period-over-period against the four months immediately prior, so existing demand and seasonality are already in the baseline.

Where the revenue came from

Organic search did the heaviest lifting, bringing in $5,702.87, or 16.83% of total sales. AI-referred revenue was small in absolute terms but tells the forward-looking story: $390.66, or 1.15%, from a channel that barely existed a period earlier.

04 · Results: the business, proven

The whole business moved, not just the traffic.

Revenue rarely rises on its own. Analytics 4 shows the machinery underneath it: every top-line metric up sharply against the prior period, and, tellingly, e-commerce purchases up 74%. This is the proof that the search work turned into sessions, sessions into events, and events into orders.

05 · Beyond the window

The line held, then accelerated.

The question that matters for any growth program is whether the line holds once the intensive work ends. Re-cutting Search Console as of 2 July answers it. The growth did not plateau after the window; it steepened.

Over the last six months, organic clicks reached 20,100 against 414 in the prior six months, roughly a 49× increase, while impressions reached 772,000 against 4,520, about 171×. Narrowing to the most recent quarter, clicks were 17,900 versus 2,180 and impressions 695,000 versus 77,700. Most of the half-year's growth sits in its most recent months, the shape of a base that keeps compounding.

June 2026 Search Console summary: 9.34k clicks, 349k impressions, 932 pages with first impressionsSearch Console · June 2026

June itself was the biggest month yet: 9,340 clicks and 349,000 impressions in thirty days, with 932 pages earning their first-ever impressions. That single month carried nearly half of the whole half-year's clicks.

Average position improved from 11.6 to 7.1 over six months, and 6.9 across the last quarter. The store is not only appearing more, it is appearing higher.

932 pages earned first impressions in June alone, so the footprint is widening across the catalogue rather than leaning on a few winners.

Reading the CTR honestly

Blended click-through looks lower now (2.6%) than in the tiny prior period (9.2% on just 4,520 impressions). That is expected and healthy. The store now ranks for a far broader, higher-funnel set of queries, so a smaller percentage of a 772,000-impression footprint still produces vastly more clicks, 20,100 against 414, than a high rate on almost no visibility ever could.

06 · Results: AEO and GEO

Cited by AI, not just ranked by Google.

Ranking is only half of modern search. The other half is being the answer an assistant hands back. Bing Webmaster Tools now reports AI Performance, citations pulled by Microsoft Copilot and its partners, and the store is being cited.

Total AI citations · Copilot361
Avg. cited pages13
AI-referred revenue · before$6.06
AI-referred revenue · program$390.66

Across the reported window, Microsoft Copilot cited the store 361 times, drawing on 13 pages on average. Those citations are not vanity; they are the surface where a growing share of buyers now read a recommendation before they ever reach a search results page.

The revenue side already shows it. AI-referred sales moved from $6.06 to $390.66 over the program. Small today, but it is a channel most competitors in this market do not have at all.

Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance: 361 total citations, 13 average cited pages, citation sources Microsoft Copilots and PartnersBing Webmaster Tools · AI Performance · Microsoft Copilots and partners

Both numbers, the 361 Copilot citations and the AI-driven revenue, come from the same authority work that lifted the rankings. That is the whole point of the thesis: you do not choose between SEO and AI visibility. Done properly, one produces the other. It is also far harder for a price-cutting reseller to copy than a discount is.

07 · Outlook

What the numbers are telling us.

Three things stand out. Revenue nearly doubled inside the window. The organic base built there kept compounding after it, with the most recent month carrying almost half of the half-year's clicks. And a second, AI-driven channel opened, positioning the store for where discovery is heading rather than only where it is.

None of this rests on paid acquisition or a single viral moment. It rests on visibility that converts, an authentic-product promise competitors cannot undercut, and an authority footprint that both search engines and AI assistants can cite. The compounding is the asset.

In one line

A store no one could find became a compounding organic and AI-cited revenue engine: +85.5% revenue, ~49× organic clicks, 361 AI citations, and AI revenue from $6 to $391. And it is still accelerating.

This is the system EasyGrow Digital runs: a clean technical foundation, answer-first content, and authority that earns rankings and AI citations at the same time. It is repeatable. The next store it points at could see the same curve.
